Timber-Look Cladding: Warmth Without the Upkeep

Nothing warms up a space like timber, and nothing tests your patience like maintaining it outdoors in South Australia. Composite timber-look cladding has become our most requested carpentry product for exactly that reason: all of the warmth, none of the oiling.

Where it works outside

Facade features, alfresco walls, fence-line screens and entry porticos. The boards shrug off UV and rain without fading, splitting or seasonal movement, and a hose-down is the entire maintenance schedule.

Where it works inside

Slat panel feature walls behind a TV, a bedhead or along a hallway bring instant depth and texture. Paired with LED strip lighting, an indoor cladding wall becomes the architectural moment of the room.

Why composite over real timber

Real timber is beautiful but high-care: it wants oiling every year or two, it silvers in the sun, and it moves with the seasons. Composite boards hold their colour and their line for decades. Most visitors honestly cannot pick the difference once the boards are up.

Design tips from our installs

Vertical boards draw the eye up and suit modern facades; running the same board inside and out blurs the line between alfresco and living room; and darker boards against light render give the strongest contrast from the street.
